About Us
"O those who have believed! When it is said to make space in your gatherings (for newcomers), then make space and Allah will make space for you in paradise. And when you are told to “arise” then arise; Allah will raise those who have believed amongst you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees. And Allah is acquainted with what you do" (58:11).
We believe that striving for academic excellence whilst living in the West is our opportunity to support Imam Mahdi (atfs) by raising the children of our community to be followers of Islam, whilst learning to be professional as well as highly skilled. We aim to be a strong, dynamic and progressive network which seeks to raise the standards and education levels of our community in the United Kingdom.
Our aim is to build an open-minded network that supports its highly trained teachers by offering a collaborative platform to share ideas, voice concerns, and receive guidance on educational matters.
JTN seeks to provide guidance for current Jaafari schools and teachers, individuals in the community who are keen to join this rewarding profession, as well as Jaafari parents who need support with their child/children’s education. JTN aspires to be the voice of the Jaafari community through the medium of education. We intend to do this through engaging with interfaith and intrafaith groups, as well as liaising with policymakers to raise and solidify the perspective of the Jaafari community towards changes that take place in the British National Curriculum.
